A community art for mental health project, featuring liberation-themed quotes and illustrations from queer icons past and present. Garden beds are illustrated professionally, and community members join the space weekly to ‘colour in’ the illustrations.
This shared, low-stakes, evidence-based creative activity introduces community members to one another in a low pressure social setting. It also engages people in the meditative activity of colouring, and introduces them to the community garden, thereby strengthening a sense of community ownership, togetherness, and resilience.
